Even a Coach Needs a Coach

The time has come! I am officially a Lean Bodies Consulting client! I’ve been waiting for this moment for yeeeeears. I think I learned of them back in 2010 and have been a fan of Erik Ledin’s philosophy ever since. He and his coaches are all about sane and sustainable diet and training protocols, and I’m completely on board with that!

So far I’m 3 days in and loooooving my program. It’s so up my alley. I’m eating a ton of food and really putting those extra carbs to use in the gym. Sadly, I’ve had to push the Zombie Apocalypse Survival Workout to the side, but my husband is going to continue using that program because it fits in really well with his schedule and Army PT. But frankly, I love my new training program, so I’m not bothered.

Guys…I was so excited when my program arrived…I was practically bouncing off the walls. I literally yelled “I GOT MY PROGRAMMMMM!” Why the excitement? I was on a waiting list since January or February and saving my pennies since then. Who needs clothes in Texas anyways?

You might ask why I feel like I need a coach. Well, honestly, it can be mentally exhausting always trying to figure out a training and nutrition program for yourself, or even deciding what direction you need to be going in.  Also, it’s very helpful to have an outsider holding you accountable and keeping a professional eye on you and your progress. Friends and family will tell you “it’s not every day that you do such and such!” and let you let your diet slide…and then this starts happening on a regular basis and your progress is, well, slim to none. Now, when you’re dishing out dough and being eyeballed by a coach, those slip-ups tend to happen less and less and progress continues on!

For the time being my coach has me on higher calories to up-regulate my metabolism. I’m loving the extra food and I’ve had absolutely no cravings since I’ve started. And it’s not like I’m eating chicken and broccoli 6 times a day. I’m eating delicious food that I actually enjoy! And my training program? Holy freaking moly. It’s fun and challenging and I’m leaving the gym with an amazing pump. So overall, I’m loving LBC just as much as I thought I would and even more! I can’t wait to see what’s to come!
